A Message of Solidarity and Support

A Message of Solidarity and Support

Many thanks to InsideUp for helping to jumpstart this movement toward greater kindness and a call for action in view of all that is going on right now.   We have taken the private email that their owner sent to us earlier today as a basis for our comments below.

Mayday Games is largely based in Utah but have employees, outside help and logistics partners from all around the globe.  As the owner of Mayday I am in Guangzhou China a lot of the time.  My wife Kate is from DongGuan province but as a legal permanent resident in the USA we are concerned about her interactions with government.  We are truly a global company in a global industry and what happens in the world matters to all of us.

We want our neighbors, friends, and family in the United States—and especially those in Minneapolis—to know that you are constantly in our thoughts, and that we stand with you.  We see the tremendous weight of grief, anger, and fear that so many are carrying right now. No one should have to live with constant fear. Everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and to be treated with dignity.

Mayday Games wholeheartedly supports the voices demanding an end to violence, calling for accountability, for true racial justice and equality, and for simple kindness and decency. We truly admire the power and necessity of peaceful protest. The care that Minnesotans (and so many others) are showing for one another by standing together, listening, helping, and protecting their communities, demonstrates incredible strength, compassion, and resilience.

Kindness matters. Especially during times like these.

As a company, and simply as people, we believe deeply in our shared humanity. Healing can only happen when we listen with empathy, acknowledge pain honestly, and make space for one another.

While the path to change often feels slow, we hold onto hope. Hope that accountability, deeper understanding, and meaningful progress will emerge from moments like this. Your quiet determination should inspire us all. Please, look out for each other. We are not all the same, but we are undeniably stronger together.

Our company is not a political organization and no matter what side of the isle you count as your people, we all want truth, justice and the American way.  We are all aware of the horrific injustices that have been perpetrated in the world and on American soil and we believe we should all stand up for more accountability and transparency in these troubling times.

There are many good and helpful organizations that are doing important work right now and we hope you will consider joining with us in contributing to one of them with us. Groups like Monarca MN and MIRAC (Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee) focus on protecting, supporting, and caring for communities who are often the most vulnerable during difficult times.

Mayday has chosen to give $1,000 to The Institute for Justice on January 29, 2026 to more strongly support legal accountability for an increasingly out-of-control system.

From their website:

The Institute for Justice protects the constitutional rights of all Americans. IJ defends ordinary people who want to earn an honest living, own and enjoy their property, speak freely, and give their children a good education but find that the government is standing in their way—and we win nearly 75% of our cases.

You are not alone. We see you, we support you, and we are sending care and solidarity to all of those living in fear and who deserve human dignity, and justice.

Seth and the entire Mayday Team
